Bulut raced to celebrate with Wanderers fans, leaping an advertising hoarding in the process.

Supporters were equally keen to join in, embracing the their hero on the sidelines.

An uninformed observer would be forgiven for thinking they had just won the A-league.

Which made it all the more embarrassing when he eventually heard the whistle and realised he had been flagged for offside.
