Stars from the worlds of television, music and fashion have put their charitable heads together tonight for the seventh annual Global Gift Gala in London.
Hosted by actress Eva Longoria Baston and designer Victoria Beckham, the event welcomed celebrities including Anastacia, Luke Evans and Pamela Anderson to raise funds for women and children around the world.
The gala at London’s Corinthia Hotel was compered by comedian Jack Whitehall and guests enjoyed entertainment from singers Rebecca Ferguson and Collette Cooper, with sets from Craig David and DJs Harriet Rose and Josh Parkinson at the after-party.
Global Gift Gala is an event from the Global Gift Foundation, an initiative set up by Maria Bravo and Alina Peralta to raise money for a variety of chosen charities around the world each year.
Organisations benefiting from the fundraiser this time are the Global Gift Foundation, The Eva Longoria Bastòn Foundation, which focuses on women’s education and entrepreneurship; and UNAIDS, which aims to end the AIDS epidemic as a public health threat by 2030.
Singer Anastacia, who recently appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, was honoured with an Our Heroes Award in recognition of her philanthropic and professional accomplishments.
The award winner, who has battled breast cancer twice, said: “I am so honoured to accept the Our Heroes Award on behalf of the Global Gift Foundation. I will continue and urge others to support younger women who have been affected by breast cancer.”
Eva said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be returning to London for our seventh Global Gift Gala. This charitable event recognises prominent figures who dedicate their time and energy to helping those who need it most.”
Co-host Victoria, who is an UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador, added: “I’m proud to be supporting my dear friend Eva at this year’s London Global Gift Gala and honoured to be co-chairing the event in support of my role as a UNAIDS global goodwill ambassador. It will be a wonderful evening in aid of some fantastic causes.”
Other guests included television presenter Laura Whitmore, Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon, footballer Robert Pires, radio DJ Greg James, and chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana.
