The honeymoon period is over for the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestants as the camp has experienced its first row.

After living in a peaceful paradise for their first week in the jungle, the atmosphere has soured with the arrival of new campers Danny Baker and Martin Roberts who are already at loggerheads.

Danny and Martin were the team leaders for challenge The Hungry Games, which split the camp mates into two sides and saw broadcaster Danny’s winning lot rewarded with a spa day and an abundance of food.

However, Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin felt that Danny was bragging about his success.

He said: “The other team were terribly ungentlemanly, they were whopping and cheering at their success, to gloat like that sucks.”

Back in camp as Martin complained about the winning team’s attitude, Danny said: “He’s convinced I’ve got it in for him, please don’t pretend I’m going around gloating because I’m not.”

Martin said: “I was just mad at that moment, you don’t get a Wimbledon with Andy Murray and him whooping if he wins.”

But Danny said: “Martin, it’s not a Wimbledon final, it’s a telly show for starters, you’re inventing this gloating, I have not done it.”

After some more bickering between the two, Martin said: “If you’re a winner, you’re sensitive to the loser.”

Danny replied: “Oh for the love of god, it’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!”

The BBC Radio 5 Live presenter later said to camera: “He builds up things in his head what he thinks has happened and when I point out it didn’t happen he goes no it did, it’s in your head Martin, I think he’s starting to be ‘I’m a big noise on daytime TV’.”

Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffat, who had been on Martin’s losing team, later cried about the change in camp atmosphere, although Martin tried to tell her he had argued because he thought the gloating was upsetting her.

Comedian Joel Dommett said: “Martin is Captain Passive Aggressive, you can see he’s angry about stuff but he has this smiley head about it and it feels condescending.”

But Martin said to cameras in the camp’s private Bush Telegraph: “Scarlett was one of the ones who was most upset, she’s forgot that pretty quickly. I feel like it’s turned round on me and backfired, I was suddenly seen to be someone who was causing a fracas.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV tomorrow at 9pm.
