The Public Accounts Committee will hear from Nama CEO Brendan McDonagh and chairman Frank Daly today on the sale of Project Eagle.

It will be the second time that the Committee has met with the CEO and chairman regarding the Northern Ireland loanbook.

It comes after the CEO of Cerberus – the eventual purchaser – revealed that it paid money to lawyers linked to former Nama adviser Frank Cushnahan for extra information to aid its bid.

The Comptroller and Auditor General claims that the taxpayer may have lost out on €200m in the sale.

The Committee has also signalled that it is coming towards the end of the public hearings on the Comptroller & Auditor General’s report.
