A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Galway earlier today.

The man was injured in an incident on Quincentennial Bridge at 7.30am this morning.

The route was closed for a time to allow an examination of the scene but has since reopened.

The extent of the man’s injuries is not yet known.
