Strictly’s Gorka Marquez will not be reporting the Blackpool assault to police, the show has said.
The professional dancer had to undergo dental surgery after his teeth were badly chipped in the attack.
He is said to have been beaten up by a gang of youths on a street in the seaside resort, just hours after he took part in last Saturday’s live show.
But a Strictly spokesman said Gorka “doesn’t wish to make a formal complaint”, and “just wants to move on”.
And Gorka has also posted updates on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, saying he’s trying to “stay positive” – but he’s back in action rehearsing for the Christmas special.
The Spaniard recently thanked staff at Blackpool Tower for their good wishes.
Thank you to everyone from @TheBplTower for the flowers!!! I'm feeling better and can't wait to be dancing on Saturday!!😘😘 pic.twitter.com/IEOzZNVKe6
