AN ALLEYWAY which had become a hive of anti-social behaviour in the town is set to be closed after Wexford Borough District Councillors unanimously voted for the measure at a recent meeting.

Any right of way between Ferndale Estate and a car park adjoining O’Leary Road is also set to be extinguished, following support shown for a proposal raised by Cllr. George Lawlor.

Addressing those in attendance, People Before Profit Councillor Deirdre Wadding explained: “There’s a general agreement that there’s some very serious behaviour going on up there.”
