Catherine Tyldesley has insisted there’s no reason why she can’t also be a singer.
The actress, 33, is best known for playing Eva Price in Corrie.
She’s now released an album and is performing a live gig.
“I think over here (in the UK) they’re like, ‘hang on a minute you can’t cross over’. I’m like, ‘I’ve always sung’,” Cath said.
She added: “It’s been my bread and butter between acting prior to Corrie.
“It’s so nice to have that live fix. I’ve always wanted to do an album.”
Eva also sang on Corrie, but said of her upcoming gig: “Live is definitely scarier!”

The actress said she’d love her alter ego to have a long future on Corrie.
“I hope so,” she said.
“(Eva’s got some) fab storylines.”
Cath, mum to young son Alfie, said of her svelte figure: “It’s hard work …
“I love weight training, boxing, we love keeping active as a family.
“We do a lot of walking, I think that’s really important as well to do that as a family … getting in the garden, growing your own vegetables, just staying active.”
