Two units of the fire service tackle a blaze in Enniscorthy’s town centre this evening.

Two units of Enniscorthy Fire Service were called to an optician’s premises in Market Square, Enniscorthy, after smoke was noticed coming from an upstairs window.

The premises was evacuated as the fire fighters searched for the source of the fire and made the building safe.

A number of rooms in the three-storey building suffered bad smoke damage. Nobody was injured.
