A dating app being called ‘Tinder for kids’ has drawn widespread criticism from parents.
Yellow, aimed at teenagers over the age of 17, offers the chance to “make new friends” by swapping photos.
However, opponents say younger children are using it, putting them at severe risk of sexual exploitation.
Mary Flaherty, the CEO of Children at Risk in Ireland, said: “It does seem to move very quickly from contact to sharing of quite explicit material.
“There is evidence that older people can pose as young people, and can lead to the selecting out of younger people to those that might wish to be sexual predators.”
