After the plane crash in Colombia that killed 71 passengers, including 19 players and coaching staff from Brazilian side Chapecoense, Arsenal and Brazil defender Gabriel Paulista spoke in memory of the victims.

Gabriel was born in Sao Paulo, and spent several years as a player with Brazilian side Esporte Clube Vitoria.

In the video, Gabriel urges viewers: “If you think you want to do something just get out there and do it, because we don’t know what tomorrow brings.”

Three Chapecoense players survived the crash, while nine players did not travel with the team that day.

The club were due to play their final game of the Brazilian league season on Sunday December 11, but Atletico Mineiro have decided to forfeit the points.
