All serving members of the Defence Forces will receive a 1916 Centenary Commemorative Medal this year.
The medals will be presented at 11 different ceremony’s around the country over the coming weeks – including one today at Dublin Castle.
Minister with Responsibility for Defence is Paul Kehoe: “Any member who served in the Irish Defence Forces between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016, will receive this very special commorative medal.
