For most of Liverpool’s match against Bournemouth, it wasn’t football that was front of everyone’s mind. Instead, people seemed more preoccupied with Liverpool’s curious choice of kit.
In case you missed it, just feast your eyes on Liverpool’s away outfits. Trust us, you won’t be able to miss it.
Not to blow anything out of proportion, but people were losing their minds over the luminous kit.
Those Liverpool kits are a crime against humanity. #BOULIV

Dear lord, that Liverpool kit is appalling #BOULIV

Maybe the choice of colour was a tactical decision?
If Liverpool's plan to dazzle their opponents with their football fails they can always do it with their kit #BOULIV

At least if the lights go out you'll still be able to see the Liverpool team. #luminous #bouliv

It was definitely something to focus on in a slightly one-sided game, with Liverpool storming 3-1 ahead.
However, mid-way through the second half fashion was no longer anyone’s concern as Bournemouth staged the most astounding comeback.
They equalised with goals from Ryan Fraser and Steve Cook, then in extra time Liverpool were dealt a further blow with Nathan Ake taking Bournemouth into the lead.
The comeback was gobsmacking, and it wasn’t long before people were bemoaning Liverpool’s poor performance in the second half. Seriously, how could they have let such a solid lead slide?
Lazy second half from the Reds #BOULIV

Silly Liverpool. Complacency as its best. Quite nervous now. Thrown away 3 goal lead. #BOULIV #LFC

Liverpool has been punished for over confidence @liverpool #BOULIV

It became a pretty explosive match by the end, which is not really what any of us had initially predicted.

So it seems as though Liverpool fans ended the match as irate with the team as they were with the colour of their kit.
