Lucas Perez scored three times in 47 minutes for Arsenal against Basel in tonight’s Champions League group finale.
The Spanish striker’s hat-trick prompted some Gooners to take a sly dig at rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners were already through to the next round while Spurs are out after failing to progress from the group stages and Arsenal fans were quite keen to share one particular stat:

However, Spurs do still have one more game to go in which they could move ahead of Perez’s total.
Perez is the second player from Arsenal to score a hat-trick in Europe this season – after Mesut Ozil’s three-goal haul against Ludogorets.
