Gardaí investigating the murder of disabled man Anthony Rogers have arrested a 35-year-old man.

The man was detained in the East Wall area this morning at around 7.30am by detectives from Kevin Street Garda Station and the South Central Task Force.

He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at the station.

61-year-old Mr Rogers was stabbed to death at Robinsons Court, Cork Street, Dublin 8 at around 2.30pm on November 6, 2016.

He was taken by Ambulance to St James Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Mr Rogers, who used a wheelchair, was left bleeding in his home after the attack.
