
A male pedestrian has been killed in a road traffic collision in Co Limerick, writes David Raleigh.
Gardaí believe the man, aged in his 60s, was struck by a car.
The fatal collision occurred on the Main Street in Kilmallock around 6pm.
A Garda source confirmed the man was pronounced dead from his injures a short time ago.
Gardaí have closed off the street pending the arrival of a Garda forensic collision inspector to carry out an examination of the scene and the vehicle involved.
