Manchester United fans have a new hero and his name is Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

United beat Zorya Luhansk 2-0 to seal their spot in the last 32 of the Europa League, but to a lot of fans the result was well and truly secondary to the fact that Mkhitaryan grabbed his first goal for the club.

And what a goal it was, as he ran half the length of the pitch, threw in a cheeky nutmeg and finished calmly to finally break the stalemate for United.

It’s not been an easy start to life at Old Trafford for the former Borussia Dortmund man, having been largely frozen out by Jose Mourinho in the first few months of the season.

Now the 27-year-old’s slowly establishing himself as one of the key players in Mourinho’s team – and the fans love him.

In fact, some fans even think he’s ready for one of the biggest honours you can get at United.

Now that is saying something.
