UFC fighter Conor McGregor is reportedly confirmed as appearing in season seven of Game Of Thrones.
The lightweight champion will play a cameo role in the hit show’s penultimate series, according to reliable fan site Watchers On The Wall.
After rumours circulated that Conor was set to star in the show, UFC president Dana White seemed to confirm the role during an appearance on Fox Sports Live.
He said: “I knew that a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show,” adding “And I’m glad he did it. It’ll be great.”
A source told Watchers On The Wall that the UFC champion will play a pirate belonging to Euron Greyjoy’s crew, on the ship Silence.
The announcement was met with a mixed reaction by fans.
What business has Conor McGregor got to be in Game of Thrones? None. Absolutely none.

I can't express how excited I am that two of my favourite things are going to collide. Conor McGregor and Game of Thrones 👀

But fans who are worried about his acting credentials, the part is expected to be limited to a cameo.
