Actor T.J. Miller was arrested early this morning after a driver accused him of battery, Los Angeles police said.
The arrest of the Silicon Valley and Deadpool star came two days before Miller hosts the Critics’ Choice Awards in the city.
Los Angeles police officer Drake Madison said Miller was arrested at around 1am Friday. The driver who accused him of battery wanted Miller booked under a citizen’s arrest.
Police said Miller was released and ordered to appear in court on January 9.
Joey Berlin, president of the organisation that bestows the Critics’ Choice Awards, said Miller will remain the host for Sunday’s show.
“We look forward to seeing what he’s going to do on Sunday,” Berlin said.
Miller also stars in the comedy film Office Christmas Party, which was released on Friday.
