11% of all mortgages in this country are now in arrears, according to the Central Bank.
That amounted to 79,562 accounts by the end of September, and the number has fallen for the 13th consecutive quarter in a row.
However, more than 56,000 homes are still in arrears for more than 90 days up to the end of September, a decline of 2.1% on the previous quarter.
The Central Bank report also shows that 121,140 other people have restructured their home loans, with 88% deemed to be meeting the terms of their restructure arrangement, down slightly from the previous quarter.
