Louis Tomlinson has thanked fans for their support following the death of his mother.

The One Direction star’s mum Johannah Deakin died on Wednesday at the age of 43 after a battle with leukaemia.

Louis took to the X Factor stage on Saturday night to perform his new single with DJ Steve Aoki in her honour, and has now shared a picture from their performance on Instagram, with the words: “Thank you for the incredible support :).”

The performance of Just Hold On marked the first time Louis had appeared in public since his mum died.

He received a standing ovation and many fans and fellow celebs praised his courage.
