We remember it like it was yesterday, the day Ed Sheeran told the world that he was taking a break from his “phone, emails and social media for a while”.
The singer explained on December 12, 2015 that he found himself seeing the world through a screen instead of his eyes.
Fast forward to today, exactly one year later the singer has jumped back on Twitter with this, a blue square.

He also followed suit on Instagram and Facebook.
BUT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Last year Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kanye West, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj pulled similar stunts changing their profile to a turquoise square.
It was later revealed that it was to promote Jay Z’s streaming platform, Tidal.
As you can imagine Ed’s reappearance has caused a lot of confusion and excitment throughout the interwebs.
