MEMBERS OF Wexford Rotary, their spouses / partners and invited guests recently enjoyed the club’s annual Christmas Dinner Party at the Talbot Hotel.

A festive evening of seasonal merriment was enjoyed by all and featured excellent food and drink, wonderful entertainment and plenty of good after-dinner stories too.

Speaking on the occasion, President of Wexford Rotary, Niall Reck, said: “It has been and will continue to be an honour to serve as your President and thank you all for the support you have given me over the past months.

“It is at this special time of year that you fully appreciate just how much time and energy my fellow Rotarians are prepared to give to help people who are less fortunate or are in need of extra support.

“This is very much appreciated.”

Mr. Reck also paid tribute to a number of valued members who have not been in the best of health of late, or who have somebody in their family who is not so well.

“I am sure, like me, you will be delighted to see them returning to good health in the New Year,” he said.

Honorary Secretary of Rotary Wexford Jurgen Sassman also addressed the Rotarians gathered.

He commented on the success of the Club under Mr. Reck’s watchful eye, highlighting in particular the club’s wonderful website and much-improved social media platform which have both come about thanks to Mr. Reck’s Wexford-based company, Graphedia.

Along with club Vice-President Maura Bell, Mr. Sassman then presented Mr. Reck with a prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
