Floyd Mayweather appears determined to keep his name linked with Conor McGregor’s in the media.

A possible fight between the boxing legend and the MMA star has been rumoured for months now, with both fighters adding fuel to the fires of gossip.

We don’t appear any closer to confirmation of any kind but Mayweather is working on his trash talk at every opportunity.

Earlier this week he threatened to ‘slap’ that ‘punk’ McGregor the next time he saw him and now he has made the Dubliner the subject of a caption competition.

He posted a screenshot of McGregor lying down in the octagon, taken moments after his defeat to to Nate Diaz in March.

Mayweather wrote: “CAPTION THIS! Best caption wins $10,000.00. The winner will be announced on Monday, Dec 19. Stay tuned ! #TMT”

We await Conor’s response with interest.
