Ahead of Saturday night’s grand finale we take a closer look at Strictly Come Dancing star Danny Mac.

Here are five facts about the actor and competition finalist.

1. He’s won bags of awards for sexiest man.

At numerous soap awards during his five years on Hollyoaks, the actor won six “sexiest male” prizes.

2. He’s engaged to a former co-star.

Danny’s engaged to former Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson, who appeared on the Channel Four soap for 11 years as Steph Cunningham.

3. Danny has turned down Strictly before.

The actor told reporters he had been asked to appear on the show several times before but turned it down because he was too scared.

4. He went to the same drama school as Will Young.

Mac was schooled at London’s ArtsEd Drama school where fellow 2016 Strictly contestant Will Young also attended.

5. He supports Chelsea.

Poor choice, enough said.
