Ahead of Saturday night’s grand finale we take a closer look at Strictly Come Dancing star Louise Redknapp.

Here are five facts about the competition finalist.

1. She’s a former pop star.

She first became famous as part of the girl group Eternal before launching a solo career in 1995 at the height of the group’s fame.

2. Louise was once voted Sexiest Woman of the Decade.

In 2004 the former pop singer was voted Sexiest Woman of the Decade by FHM readers.

3. Robbie Williams introduced her and husband Jamie Redknapp.

The Millennium singer introduced Louise to footballer Jamie in 1995 when Eternal were on tour. On June 29 1998 the pair married on Elbow Beach in Bermuda.

4. Kevin Clifton took her to Paris during rehearsals.

During training for the rumba in week five, Louise became emotional after she couldn’t get the routine. Professional partner Kevin promptly flew the pair to Paris for a training boost.

5. Her father-in-law, football manager Harry Redknapp, joked that she would fall victim to the Strictly curse.

He made the comments during an appearance on Jamie’s panel show, A League Of Their Own, telling viewers: “Yeah! Everyone who goes on that Strictly ends up having…” before trailing off.
