After Leicester City’s 5000-1 Premier League title triumph, it would have been a bold decision to give the BBC Coach of the Year award to anyone but Foxes boss, Claudio Ranieri.
And so it was that the award was handed over to Claudio – it seems that, for once, nobody had any complaints.
Hard to argue with that award. Eddie Jones did a remarkable job this year but Claudio Ranieri WON THE LEAGUE WITH LEICESTER. #spoty

As far as achievements in football go, this one might never be bettered.
Ranieri is such a modest man. You will be remembered at #lcfc for being our greatest manager in history. #SPOTY

To coach 5000/1 outsiders to the Premier League title is a phenomenal achievement Claudio Ranieri truly deserves coach of the year #SPOTY

At the end of a crazy year for Leicester fans, the award was surely the cherry on top of a very big and tasty cake.
Leicester centre stage at #SPOTY & Ranieri wins coach of the year. The final surreal moment of a year of surreal moments for the #LCFC fans.
