A Euromillions player has scooped an early Christmas present worth €500,000.

The €51.36m jackpot was not won in Friday’s draw, but one lucky ticket holder in Dublin will be claiming the Euromillions Plus prize.

The quick pick ticket was sold on Friday at the Spar Waterville shop in Blanchardstown.

So far in 2016, a total of 24 players have won the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000.

Two other Irish players won the Match 5 prize of €28,114. Those tickets were sold at the Penny Hill shop at the Ballyowen Shopping Centre in Lucan, Co. Dublin while the other winning ticket was sold online at lottery.ie.

The National Lottery has advised everyone to check their tickets and, if they match the winning numbers, to sign the back of the ticket and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 01 836 4444.
