Sometimes you have to acknowledge the role luck plays, and that’s exactly what West Ham did after they beat Hull City 1-0 despite the Tigers hitting the frame of the goal THREE times.
As a result, the goalposts stole the man of the match award in convincing fashion, polling better than the other three nominees combined.
With 5???7?? per cent of the vote, congratulations to The Post on securing today's Man of the Match award!

Hull had 15 shots during the game, and dominated the first half, with Hammers manager Slaven Bilic admitting that his side had been outplayed in the first 45 minutes.
West Ham also benefited from a contentious penalty call, after minimal contact sent Michail Antonio tumbling before Mark Noble gratefully slotted the spot kick home.
Even James Corden, a well-known West Ham fan, knew his team had ridden their luck – and he told Noble that himself.

The result means that Hull have failed to win a single one of their last six league games, while West Ham have earned seven points in three games since losing 5-1 at home to Arsenal earlier in December.
