Chris Tarrant’s Scandinavian adventure on his Extreme Railway Journeys show got people talking on Twitter.
But it wasn’t just the beautiful scenery and sight of snow that got some viewers fired up – no, it was the comparison between the punctual locomotives Chris was on and the service on Southern Rail.

The Southern Rail dispute has caused misery for commuters, with cancellations and delays.
And viewers couldn’t help noticing that in other parts of the world, trains were running just fine despite the icy conditions.
