A Carnew shopper in Gorey, Liz Antcliff is €500 richer for Christmas after producing the Golden Receipt.

Ms Antcliff produced a receipt from Angelic Companions for a December 9 and her name came from the draw today in a novelty competition sponsored by Wexford County Council.

The draw was made today at noon at the Market House and the winning ticket was drawn by Chairman of Gorey Municipal District Council, Cllr Pip Breen.

Cllr Breen congratulated Ms Antcliff, complimented all who shopped in Gorey during the festive period and wished everybody a Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
