SMASH-HIT singer / songwriter Ed Sheeran has penned a traditional Irish song in tribute to County Wexford, where his grandmother lives.

Speaking on national airwaves recently, the UK-based star put out a call for céilí dancers which, he said, will be needed to appear in a music video he intends to shoot in Ireland.

Fans will be hoping to catch a glimpse of the ginger-haired guitar supremo on his visit.

Sheeran recently released two singles and promises to release more new material before his third album, ÷ [Divide], is officially released later this year.

The star with connections to the north of the county also spoke about how he transformed his health while taking time out over the past year.
