THERE WAS excitement afoot at the IDA Business Park in Drinagh, recently, as an expanded Manufacturing Centre of Excellence was officially opened at Waters Technologies.
Significant increases in on-site operations, services and development functions have been enabled thanks to the development at the state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly facilities on the outskirts of Wexford town.
Speaking at the opening, President and CEO Waters Corporation Christopher J. O’Connell said “the Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Wexford, Ireland, is instrumental to our global manufacturing strategy.
“We strive to consistently develop reliable products that not only meet our customers’ needs, but also contribute to their success.”
Waters celebrates its 20th anniversary in Wexford this year.
Since commencing operations in 1997, the company has seen continuous and sustained growth.
Over 300 people are presently employed in the 145,000 square foot facility which manufactures chromatography columns, solid-phase extraction devices and mass spectrometry instruments.
