A PARTNERSHIP in which Wexford accountant Alan Hynes plays a pivotal role has entered a €1 million bid to make a combined purchase of the former Hynes Jewellers premises and a nearby property.
Mr. Hynes is financial controller of TUSKAR partnership, which wants to purchase 19 North Main Street, in addition to the former jewellers’ shop unit at 17 North Main Street, so a larger trading premises can be opened in the town.
Tuskar Property Holdings Ltd., which amalgamated with other companies to form TUSKAR partnership, was formerly owned by Mr. Hynes and his wife Noreen.
TUSKAR partnership’s current local directors are James Wallace and the well-known Wexford jeweller Frank Hynes, who traded at 17 North Main Street until April of last year when a Circuit Court ordered the surrender of the premises and the recovery of rent and rates.
Hynes Jewellers (Wexford) Limited, included in the TUSKAR partnership, has traded locally for over sixty years.
The business family’s former premises was placed on the market in recent weeks with a price tag of €780,000.
