GARDAI INVESTIGATING the disappearance of local mother-of-one Fiona Sinnott in County Wexford in 1998 are keen to hear from four people who were in the vicinity of Kisha Cross, Broadway, on the night she went missing.
In renewed appeal for information issued recently, Gardaí stated a male and female were seen by a motorist on the roadway at around midnight on February 8th / 9th, while two males in their late teens or early 20s were also in the area.
As an Detective Inspector John Hunt of Waterford Garda Station stated, none of those four people have ever come forward to speak with Gardaí.
Gardaí are now eager to trace them, or anyone who was in the vicinity who did not or could not come forward at the time.
Crimestoppers have also launched an appeal and are offering a €10,000 reward to assist Gardaí in their continuing investigation into what happened Ms. Sinnott.
As Detective Inspector Hunt stated, “we hope that with the passage of time people may be even more inclined to share information they have in their possession.
“Even the smallest piece of information, which may seem insignificant, might help with the investigation.”.
At the time she went missing, Ms. Sinnott resided at Ballyhitt, Broadway.
The Wexford women had one child, named Emma, who was approaching her first birthday at the time of her mother’s disappearance.
She was socialising at the local Butler’s Pub on the night in question and left at approximately midnight.
This was the last confirmed sighting of Ms. Sinnott.
Anyone with information, or who can assist the investigation, is asked to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
