Human remains have been recovered by police in Derry.

The remains were discovered by a member of the public in the Lenamore Road area on Saturday.

They have now been recovered by police.

The PSNI said a post-mortem examination and identification procedures will be carried out in due course.

They added that no further information is available at this time.
