THE GARDENS and flowers of County Wexford will be celebrated at a special fiftieth anniversary festival taking place in the first week of July.
From Saturday 1st to Sunday 9th, exhibitions, events, walks, talks and more will be presented at a host of scenic locations across the county.
Green-fingered enthusiasts gathered at Johnstown Castle recently to officially launch the Wexford County Flower & Garden Festival.
The festival sees Wexford Garden Trail and the County Wexford Garden & Flower Club join forces on the occasion of the club reaching the fifty-year milestone.
It will begin with a celebration show at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) base at Johnstown Castle on July 1st and 2nd.
A significant selection of floral art will display the talents of club members, while there will also be competitions for plants, fruit, vegetables, preserves and baking.
From the evening of Sunday, July 2nd, members of Wexford Garden Trail will offer a host of intriguing events at their locations.
