A book of condolences will open to the crew of Rescue 116 at Kilmore Quay

A BOOK of condolences for those whose lives were lost when the Irish Coast Guard’s Rescue 116 helicopter crashed off the coast of County Mayo recently will be opened today at the Irish Coast Guard Station, Kilmore Quay.

The late Captain Dara Fitzpatrick came to know many in County Wexford through her previous work with the Rescue 116 Irish Coast Guard helicopter based out of Waterford.

Captain Mark Duffy’s body was also recovered in recent days.

All of those keen to pay their respects will have an opportunity to do so from 2pm until 9pm today and again on Sunday, April 2nd, also from 2pm until 9pm.

The Irish Coast Guard station is located opposite the memorial garden in Kilmore Quay.
