Relay for Life returns to Wexford this July

YOUNG AND old alike are being invited to join in the fight against cancer in Wexford this summer.

Raising awareness, celebrating hope and resilience and remembering those who have passed, Relay For Life returns to Pairc Charman this July 29th and 30th.

The family-friendly 24-hour event, taking place from 2pm Saturday until 2pm Sunday, will fight back against cancer and help to educate the wider community on what can be done to help prevent and combat the disease.

Relay for Life is a team-based fundraiser initiative for the Irish Cancer Society.

Anyone passionate about fighting back against cancer is invited to gather together a committed group of people to join them in that fight and start a Relay for Life team.

Each team entering the event will be designated a team tent in a ‘Relay Village’ created around the edge of the walking / running track.

Live entertainment will be hosted by the event throughout the days and evening, while refreshments will also be available for purchase.

For more information on the initiative, visit cancer.ie/relayforlife or the Relay for Life Wexford Facebook page.

As the Irish Cancer Society states: ‘Let’s conquer cancer one step at a time.’
