The unemployment rate fell slightly again last month – and now stands at its lowest for nearly nine years.

There were almost 134,000 people out of work in April according to the CSO, compared to over 140,000 in March.

That means that only 6.2% of the working public do not have a job at the moment.

Those most likely to be unemployed are now men aged between 15 and 24.
