Munster’s Simon Zebo has been ruled out of action for five weeks with a fractured rib.

The Ireland winger and fullback suffered the injury in their win over Scarlets last weekend in the PRO12.

There was further bad news for Munster, with hooker Kevin O’Byrne sidelined for three months with an elbow injury.

O’Byrne, who was a late replacement against Scarlets on Saturday, sustained the injury in the final minutes of the game.

In other news, Stormers and Western Province centre/fullback Jaco Taute joins the province on a four month loan basis, subject to being granted a valid work permit.

Due to injuries to Francis Saili and Sammy Arnold, Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus has called on the services of Taute to bolster the options available in midfield.
