The Hollyfort Road on the outskirts of Gorey has been cleared following a road traffic collision there earlier this evening.

A BMW was badly damaged when it went out of control near the entrance to Newborough housing estate.

It is understood that it had one occupant on board who wasn’t seriously injured.

Gardaí have so far not commented on the incident, however, there are local rumours of a high speed car chase through the town leading to the incident.
